This month has been full of a variety of new things, most of which have quickly become new favorites.
Pray 168: this week has been marked forever in our history as the time that we (Heartland) began praying 24 hours a day for 7 days in a row. If you knew our previous track record with success of just one 24 hour time of prayer, you would know how monumental it is that over 500 people came and spent time with the Lord this week over the last 168 hours. Pictures will follow soon.
3 a.m. to 6 a.m. prayer times: Who KNEW that praying in the middle of the night could be so life giving (even though physcially exhausting)? I have never EVER been more eager to jump out of bed in the middle of the night.
Pancakes in the early morning with a dear friend: Especially banana NUT pancakes with Amy. Deeeeeeeelightful.
Blue Bird cafe french toast: Can anyone say dessert for lunch??
This isn't a favorite- but who knew that it could snow in APRIL?????????
NOT taking showers. It has been more my joy this last month than actually showering.
Swedish Fish: Did you know that swedish fish will stick to glass? So far this month I have stuck them to cars, mirrors, picture frames and drinking glasses. Talk about joy.
For now, that's about the extent of what I can offer you. We are headed out on staff retreat tomorrow, which I know will produce many stories and memories. Hopefully the weather will hold up!
