A month of firsts

September is almost over.
It has been filled with a long list of firsts for me.

I'll go back to the beginning:

1. Colorado in the summer/fall. Never done it before (ok there WAS that one trip with Julie that lasted a total of 32 hours or something crazy like that). Here is a glimpse for you. Side note that we did have a boy in attendance, but we did not manage getting any pics together as a group. My guess is that he'll be thankful that I didn't post his face here. Props to Sara for the pics.

Jason noted that that bikes on the top of our car looked like running stick men.
Well done.

This field of flowers was delightful.
So much so that we spent 20 minutes trying to get the pics.

2. My running career. I just finished my first race. Thank you's go out to Tom for encouraging me to run, Julie/Sara/Dan for surprising me with their attendance and cheering me on.
May 19th 2008 I wrote a post asking how runners really became runners. I just read that post and I can't quite believe that it was ever an issue. I'll post pictures when I get them, but until then- here are my "official" results:

3. I am going to Germany on September 29th. Really. For 43 days to be exact. I'm not sure how I got this gig, I'm a little baffled, but I'll take it. Bring it on.

4. I saw the most amazing sunset EVER. (Props to Amy for the pic)
5. I bought a ticket to Bermuda. I KNOW. We thought people only disappeared in Bermuda. Nope. They actually go there for vacation. Sun and sand, here I come.

That's about it. I could tell you many more things, but I guess that'll have to be a post all the way from Munich Germany.
